Productivity

In order to be a productive student and employee, a person must follow safety procedures, conserve materials, keep the work area neat and clean and follow directions properly. Productivity is extremely important in the work place. You have to stay on task and use your time efficiently. Your job is not a social event that you go to everyday. You get paid to do a job, not goof off and not waste time.

Character

Displays loyalty; honesty; trustworthiness; dependability; reliability; initiative; self-discipline; self-responsibility; academic integrity; and responsibility.
Desirable character traits include those of responsibility, loyalty, honesty, trustworthiness, dependability, reliability, initiative and self-discipline. Employers as well as instructors require evidence of these traits from their subordinates.

Leadership

Displays leadership skills; appropriately handles criticism; conflicts; and complaints; demonstrates problem-solving capability; maintains appropriate relationships with supervisors and peers; follows chain of command.
There are several ways to avoid conflict and increase cooperation in the work environment. Good working relationships, follows chain of command, good at conflict management, and being a good problem solver are all part of cooperation.

Teamwork

Respects rights of others; demonstrates mannerly behavior in interactions with students and instructor.It is vital that employees work as a team. It is important not only to their personal success and advancement, but also to that of their co-workers and to the company. The supervisor will look for these traits, and those workers who exhibit them will be rewarded.

Social Media Lawsuits

Defamation is becoming a huge issue on social media sites as lawsuits for this particular offence are rising dramatically. In Canada and the US, 15 percent of all Web 2.0 rulings were on defamation cases. In France, it’s 49 percent and in Quebec it’s more than 10 percent.

Attendance

A student's attendance behaviors affect the success of that individual, the class, or business. Employer expectations, like that of an instructor, are simple - be present and on time. And should circumstances arise that cause one to be absent or late, call and let a supervisor/teacher know.

 APPEARANCE-  The way you appear to others is very important. No one will want to be around you if you carry yourself negatively. In the business world this could land you a good paying job. Always present yourself as a well groomed and respectable person.

Respect

 RESPECT- This is a must when dealing with people. If you want respect, you have to give respect. Respecting others shows the type of person you are. No one want to be around a disrespectful person.
